These little activity books teach valuable skills, are fun to make, can be customized for different age groups, and last for a long time - they’re sturdy.
The cover of the books are made from twill and the pages from cotton. I used medium fusible interfacing on all cloth surfaces. All pages are “double layered” and the front pages are sewn into the front covers - meaning each page has two layers of interfacing between it. I put the interfacing on before adding the activities
Most of the notions are things I had lying around - you will need fabric scraps (I used denim, felt, and shoelaces), a zipper, a piece of ribbon or elastic, sewable velcro, a fabric marker, a buckle, a button, and grommets. You don’t need a serger, but you’ll want a sewing machine that can sew through several layers of thickness.
